LEGIONAIRES
Must have served at least one day of active military duty during the dates marked below and was honorably discharged or are still serving honorably.

Dec 7, 1941 - Aug 15,1945 Merchant Marines (only eligibility)
Korean War
June 25, 1950 - Jan 31, 1955
Vietnam War
Feb 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975
Lebanon/Grenada
Aug 24, 1982 - July 31, 1984
Panama
Dec 20, 1989 - Jan 31, 1990
Persian Gulf
Aug 2, 1990 - Present
Because Eligibility dates remain open, all members of the U.S. Armed forces are eligible to join the American Legion at this time, until the date of the end of hostilities as determined by the Government of the United States
LADIES AUXILIARY
A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary.
The mother, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras.

SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION
All male descendants adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion and such male descendants of veterans who died in service during the listed dates or who
died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for membership in the Sons of The American Legion.

AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS
Members must hold membership in and be in good standing with The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of The American Legion.
Members must be legally registered motorcycle owners or be the legally registered owner's spouse within the state of registration.
All operators must be properly licensed and insured per state laws.
All members must obey motor-vehicle laws in the state in which they are operating a motorcycle or riding as a passenger.
